Senator Carl Levin Officially Endorses Tony Trupiano
Levin Speaks to an Overflow Crowd - Joins Several Other State Electeds in Endorsing Trupiano
Dearborn Heights, MI – Senator Carl Levin officially endorsed Congressional candidate Tony Trupiano on Friday to a standing room only crowd. More than 250 families showed up to the “Fired Up Family Barbecue” at UAW Local 900 in Wayne to hear the senior Senator endorse Trupiano.
Stating that we must change the direction of this country, Levin urged the crowd “to start in the 11th by electing Tony Trupiano to Congress.” Levin praised Trupiano’s dedication and his commitment to making government more open and accountable. The Senator also
discussed the outrageous gas prices and setting a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq, the Trupiano campaign’s two top priorities.
Trupiano was stunned at the crowd, especially on the Friday before the 4th holiday. “ These people attended for two reasons: first, because Senator Levin is one of the most loved people in politics and one of the few in Washington who represents our concerns, and second, people are desperate for change.” Trupiano continued, “The number of Independents and Republicans I talked to tonight was amazing. It shows that we are all ready to unite and take back our country.”
Senator Levin joins a long list of statewide elected officials to endorse Trupiano including, Governor Jennifer Granholm, Senator Debbie Stabenow, Congressman John Dingell, Congressman Sander Levin as well as several others.
